I love thinking about the minor characters that fall through the cracks of popular IPs. Mainly because I have an opportunity to play with their appearance but try to fit them into an established world. I've been working on this piece for ages - long before she was included in WoW and this painting is based on an old piece of concept art: [link]

I thought those fat snakes in the concept would make great eels for an aquatic gorgon; their ugly mugs make a nice contrast to her ageless face.
